Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)

NIST-Traceable Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Calibration Gas: Precision primary reference standards for bump testing and calibrating personal gas monitors, fixed facility gas detection grids, and wastewater/refinery safety systems. Formulated in passivated aluminum cylinders to prevent reactive gas degradation.

• Quality Standard: NIST Certificate of Analysis (CoA) Available via QR code on Cylinder Label

• Standard Span Mixes: 10 PPM, 25 PPM, 40 PPM, 50 PPM, 100 PPM (Balance N2 or Air) • Hardware Compatibility: Passivated Aluminum Cylinders (34L, 58L, 74L, 116L) with standard C-10 valves • Direct Dispatch: Compliant Hazmat ground shipping direct across North America

H2S Gas Detection & Life-Safety Compliance

Hydrogen Sulfide is prevalent in petroleum refining, drilling, biogas, sewer infrastructure, and pulp processing. Regular bump testing and calibration ensure electrochemical sensor accuracy against OSHA permissible exposure limits (PEL) and ACGIH threshold values.

Reactive Gas Stability & Equipment Requirements

Because H2S is highly reactive and readily adsorbs to unpassivated metals, all mixtures are packaged exclusively in chemically treated aluminum cylinders (34L, 58L, 74L, 116L). Note: Reactive gases require stainless steel regulators (such as the 70-SS series) and PTFE tubing to prevent surface absorption and gas concentration dropoff during calibration.
