Welcome to Cal Gas Direct
NIST-Traceable Carbon Monoxide (CO) Calibration Gas: Certified reference standards for span calibration and daily bump testing of personal gas badges, multi-gas monitors, parking garage ventilation transmitters, and boiler combustion analyzers. Available in disposable steel and lightweight aluminum cylinders with standard C-10 and CGA-600 connections.
Carbon Monoxide is an invisible, odorless chemical asphyxiant produced by incomplete combustion. Routine sensor calibration verifies compliance with OSHA's 50 PPM Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) and NIOSH recommended thresholds across warehouses, enclosed parking structures, boiler rooms, and confined spaces.
Balance Air vs. Balance Nitrogen: Electrochemical sensors in personal safety monitors (Honeywell BW, MSA, Industrial Scientific) generally calibrate accurately with either balance. However, optical/infrared sensors, stack testing equipment, and combustion analyzers (Bacharach, Testo, UEi) often require precise Air or Nitrogen backgrounds to prevent cross-interference.
| CO Concentration | Primary Application & Use Case | Standard Balance Gas | Typical Hardware / Cylinders |
